The Role



In this role, you will be reporting to the Executive Director and your responsibilities will be but not limited to:




  • Leading and providing supervision for the Finance & IT team.

  • To develop, review and implement accounting and finance policies.

  • Preparation of annual consolidated budget with approved templates.

  • Preparation of annual financial reports with all other justifications.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting and finance policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Controlling overview of all payment voucher booklets, receipts books, cheque books and goods receipt notes.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports.

  • Planning and providing leadership for auditing of Annual Report (Interim & Final Audit)

  • Lead and undertake annual review and assessment of assets for write offs, disposal.

  • Maintaining a comprehensive Assets register with all necessary details as per approved templates.

  • Review of all posted financial transactions into Accounting Software online esp. payroll, donations (in kind and cash), restricted & unrestricted donations.

  • To liaise with internal and external stakeholders e.g., company lawyers, external auditors, bankers, government agencies etc. to ensure statutory compliance and best practice.

  • To ensure that all monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory deductions are done with payments made on time.



 




Required Skills or Experience


To thrive in this role, you should have:




  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • An MBA in Finance or Accounting will be a plus.

  • Minimum 4-6years experience in a similar role with an International Organization.

  • Must have ICA or ACCA membership.

  • Proficient knowledge of general IT systems and applications including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • High accuracy and quality focused mindset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • The ability to engage and liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to build trusted relationships.

  • Ability to prioritize a demanding workload, multi-tasking and to work autonomously.

  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information.

  • Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Good knowledge and use of accounting software preferably QuickBooks.

  • Ability to reflect and have problem-solving skills.

  • Must possess good leadership skills.
