The Role



In this role, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and your responsibilities will be but not limited to:




  • To assist in the preparation of budgets and management reports.

  • To do a daily and monthly reconciliation of revenue, cash count and position.

  • Maintaining an overview of all payment voucher booklets, receipts books, cheque books & good receive notes.

  • Monthly preparation of files & schedules towards interim & final Audit

  • Participating in interim and final audits.

  • Maintaining & updating comprehensive Asset Register.

  • Posting of payroll journal transactions according to departments into Accounting Software.

  • Ensure financial records are kept up to date with the latest transactions and changes.

  • Receiving retirements, checking completeness and accuracy of supporting documents and posting them (expenses, assets, etc)

  • Filing of all financial documents according to procedures.

  • Maintaining donation overview and controlling its usage and disbursement.

  • Keeping updated stock monitoring sheet and undertaking quarterly stock counts.

  • Creating quarterly standard prices for valuation of donations in kind.




  • To ensure that all monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory deductions are done with payments made on time.




Required Skills or Experience


To thrive in this role, you should have:




  • Minimum HND or Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • Minimum 3years experience in a similar role with an International Organization.

  • ICA or ACCA Level 2 will be a plus.

  • Proficient knowledge of general IT systems and applications including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Good knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.

  • Excellent analytical and time management skills.

  • Ability to pay attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize a demanding workload, multi-tasking and to work autonomously.

  • Good knowledge and use of accounting software preferably QuickBooks.

  • Ability to reflect and have problem-solving skills.
