Job Brief



The Human Resources Manager will oversee the daily operation of the Human Resources Office. Shall be responsible for areas of Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Benefits, Events, Workers Compensation and other employee-related tasks



Human Resources Manager Duties:




  • Ensure that the Hotel operational policies and processes are adhered to and continually improved.

  • Oversee all activities concerning the sourcing and recruitment of staff, performance management, staff discipline and HR administration.

  • Coordinate all matters of employee work permits and visas.

  • Coordinate and/or conduct departmental training and conduct new hire hotel orientation program.

  • Continually assess employee morale by analysing absenteeism and turnover records, lateness and resignations.

  • Coordinate and oversee all matters related to staff accommodation, facilities, and transport.

  • Coordinate employee wellness and safety programs.

  • Conduct needs analysis, develop, implement, and monitor training programs and materials.

  • Encourage a good standard of employee conduct and behvior and coordinate disciplinary procedure as and when necessary.

  • Ensure appraisals are carried out for every employee as per the Hotel’s performance management policy and also review all appraisals and follow up on development needs, if required.

  • Assist in communication of key messages to all staff.

  • Oversee Workers compensation programs, ensuring claims and reports are submitted in a timely basis .

  • Assist with planning, coordinating and executing employee activities and events .

  • Provide guidance to the leadership team regarding employee morale, employee relations, coaching ,counselling and discipline.




Required Skills or Experience



  • Must have a minimum of MBA in Human Resources Management. A professional qualification in Human Resources Management will be an added advantage.



Required Skills / Experience:




  • A minimum of 5years’ Human Resources management experience required preferably in the hospitality industry.

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll processing

  • Must have relevant experience in conducting interviews

  • Must understand Ghana labor laws.

  • Must have excellent communication skills and an excellent team player.
