Days for Girls Ghana’s mission focuses on embedding solutions to challenges created by a lack of access to menstrual health management resources and reproductive health knowledge by partnering with local grassroots organizations and conducting comprehensive training and mentoring programs. This mission is powered by our three-tier model offering locally made, high-quality washable menstrual hygiene kits, reproductive health education training, and women-led enterprise development. Our current priorities include strengthening our manufacturing capacity, and cost efficiencies, supply chain, consistent evaluation, assessment, and refresher training of our manufacturing staff.

Job Description



  • Volunteer Title: Sales and Marketing Personnel

  • Classifcation: Contract

  • Location: Remote

  • Reporting To: Marketing Offcer



 



Duties & Responsibilities




  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.

  • Conduct brief education on Care and Use of the DFG kits before sales

  • Maintain safe and hygienic custody of the DFG kits.

  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specifc targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.

  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from feld/ marketing activities.

  • Work to ensure that clients' orders are recorded and received ( work with delivery services where where necessary)

  • Identify and report sales prospects, products and service opportunities and contacts to the offce.

  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationship records.

  • Maintaining inventory of stock on a daily basis and corresponding accounting on cash accumulated will be sent daily/ weekly to the offce via Mobile Money.

  • Maintaining proper records of sales and sales proceeds.

  • Manage after sales services through quality checks and other follow-ups.

  • Prepare and submit monthly sales reports, reviewing sales performance against targets.

  • Communicate new special developments, information, or feedback gathered through feld activity to appropriate DFG Ghana staff.

  • Develop and implement self initiated sales activities in partnership with with other avenues, institutions (visiting schools to engage students, workers,apprentice associations, women's group association, etc) and media

  • Working with the offce to conduct marketing and outreach activities for increased brand and cause awareness adopting cost saving strategies.

  • Facilitating reproductive health training where necessary

  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.

  • Conduct market and client analysis considering the different needs of different clients and report to the offce.

  • Identify and resolve client concerns to the DFG Ghana offce.

  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, workshops etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.




Required Skills or Experience



  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

  • Ability to persuade and infuence others as well as Negotiation skills

  • Ability to develop and deliver verbal presentations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.

  • Understanding of social marketing approaches.

  • Comfortable communicating around menstrual hygiene management and other reproductive health topics. .

  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive DFG Ghana brand image to the public..

  • Work requires passion for women and girls, dedication and willingness to contribute to female empowerment.

  • Diligency, Honesty and accountability required.



Time Requirement




  • The role will require up to 10hrs per week work time.

  • The role is fexible and the candidate could work remotely and may be required to visit the offce on certain days depending on the work at hand.
