  • Volunteer Title: Graphic Designer/Videographer Volunteer

  • Classifcation: Part time Volunteer (10 hrs/week)

  • Location: Remote

  • Reporting To: Marketing Offcer





Role Summary

Days for Girls West Africa (DfG West Africa) is seeking highly motivated and skilled personnel as a volunteer to the country program. The role will support graphic designing needs of the offce such as preparing fyers, infographics,content for social media postings,

The position can be remote.



Duties & Responsibilities




  • Assist in the Design of reports and other communication materials for printing and electronic distribution.

  • Support in capturing events and editing art-work, photos, charts and other graphic elements and layout and design information and communication materials e.g banners, posters, booklets, leafets, books, calendars, bulletins, fyers, cards.

  • Support in custom photo editing (restoration, noise reduction, tonal adjustment)

  • Assist in collecting, organising, selecting and making use of powerful images on social media.

  • Assist in organising, selecting and making good use of flm/video footage on social media and in feature stories

  • Assist in creating simple but effective photo quotes and infographics for social media.

  • Assist in creating social media focused content from Days for Girls country offce and other partners’ posting

  • Support Days for Girls to prepare materials and content for major activities, launches, and media outreach

  • Provide other support and assistance as required, including preparation and proof reading of documents, and helping with correspondence and research.

  • Liaise with the supervisor throughout the process, providing regular updates and seeking its input, advice and authorization to proceed in every step.

  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.



The position will work to support these outcomes:




  1. Communicate MHM through infographics.

  2. Ensure DFG recognition and publicity working with the media.

  3. Provide adequate coverage, editing, documentation for DFG events/activities

  4. Promote social media engagements for DFG with a target for followers..

  5. Using media as an advocacy tool for challenging the stigma attached the MHM




Required Skills or Experience


Skills in Graphic Design




  • Photography and Videography editing skills.

  • Skills in Infographic and artistic concepts.

  • Experience working in a non-proft or NGO setting

  • Flexible and professional individual who is capable of taking initiatives

  • Creative problem solver



Desired Competencies




  • Experience working in the feld of sexual reproductive health, girls’ education, or NGOs.

  • Skills in Written and Verbal Communication

  • Passionate about using social media as an advocacy tool

  • Competency in G Suite applications (Gmail, Google Docs), Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as other design softwares, egg photoshop,canva, etc.

  • Camera handling skills as well as editing will be an added advantage.



Time Requirement




  • The role will require up to 10hrs per week work time.

  • The role is fexible and the candidate could work remotely and may be required to visit the offce on certain days depending on the work at hand.
