Our client, an international trade company is looking to hire a PR Manager to provide public relational support to their operations in Ghana.



ROLE PROFILE



The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the requirements of business development goals and strategies, participate in the production and review of contracts and other legal documents and coordinate the company’s public relations activities related to foreign laws. The individual will also sort out and screen various potential legal risks in the company’s operation, and propose early warning, avoidance and assistance solutions.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Public relations maintenance:




  • Maintain a favorable public image for the company through communication programs and accomplishment, like donation activities and dispute processing records




  • Coordinate the relationship with the owner and handle disputes related to property management

  • Provide high-level placement in prints, broadcasts and online media 

  • Deliver excellent external activity records



Legal relations:




  • Oversee all kinds of contracts and documents signed by various departments, draft, review and modify major agreements according to laws and regulations, company regulations and transaction management




  • Handle litigation and arbitration cases related to the company’s business and relevant legal disputes, such as personnel and labor relations, work-related injury claims




  • Provide internal legal advice and external legal documents for the normal operation of the company according to the requirements of other departments and in combination with specific facts, laws and regulations

  • Coordinate the activities of the external solicitors, advising on cases (issues) in the interest of the company and reviewing legal documents.



Planning strategies:




  • Coordinate sponsorship activities and developing winning strategies in defense of company policies.



Others:




  • Complete other tasks assigned.




Required Skills or Experience


EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Laws or Management.

  • 7 years working experience with 5 years PR industry experience and 3 years in any related job experience.

  • Familiar with Human Resources operations

  • Excellent in negotiation and presentation, analytical ability, ability to make immediate response, executive ability




  • Flexibility and efficiency to deal with a stressful and high paced environment.

  • Strong customer and results orientation with a focus on confidentiality

  • Ability to identify risks and effectively manage or handle them at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity, position, PR and public awareness of promoting positive company image

  • Ability to deliver a high standard of service.

  • Ability to function as an effective team member.

  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a high level of organisation.

  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organisation evolve.



REQUIREMENTS




  • Knowledge of standard PR and communication practices and procedures.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Legal analysis skills.

  • Strong organizational, communications and time management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of Access and Visio, are a plus.

  • Good written and spoken English.

  • Must be able to prioritize work.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
