Vacancy: Trainee Sales Manager

Job Description

• Supervise the sales staff on the sales floor


• Responsible for ensuring that entries into tally are done on time.


• Keep record of  documents accompanying goods brought from warehouse into the shop


• Responsible for the preparation of monthly/ daily sales report


• Responsible for the preparation of monthly stock report


• Liaise with the production department to ensure that customers orders are done on time and follow up after completion of job to ensure customers are satisfied.


• Implement a debts recovery system and follow up on withholding tax receipts for submission to the Accounts department


• Supervise the counting of money at the close of day and reconcile invoice figures with the  actual cash and cheques


• Supervise the preparation of estimates and effectively follow up to secure the jobs 


• Ensure the books of account are written on time 


• Ensure that cash and cheques are paid into the company’s bank account and check the bank pay in slip each day for the bank stamp and signature of the bank official


• Assists on the sales floor in attending to customers 


• Receive and deal with customers’ complaints


• Take active part in the preparation of  requisitions to the warehouse


• Handle business correspondence coming to the outlet

Required Skills or Experience

• Must be computer literate. 


• Knowledge in Tally accounting software would be an advantage.


• Must have special interest in sales and marketing and be able to delight customers


• Must not be more than 35yrs.
