Position Summary

The reputable construction company with 30 years of experience in the construction sector in Ghana, that is committed to improving the quality of life of the Ghanaian through the provision of appropriate and sustainable infrastructure development solutions is in search of a creative and dynamic Architect. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of construction technologies with the ability to work well with teams in the ministries, and other senior government officials.



Scope

The  Architect will mainly be responsible for developing architectural drawings for all construction activities including new projects, alterations and redevelopment.



Responsibilities

The Architect is responsible for the following duties:




  • Developing all architectural drawing based on International standards including residential, commercial, and religious buildings

  • Ensure buildings style, safety and sustainability

  • Provide advice and guidance on architectural activities

  • Comply with industry/safety standards, and local planning regulations

  • Work closely with other professionals such as Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Site Engineers

  • Maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders




Required Skills or Experience


This position will require an individual with maturity and good judgment. Key requirements for this position include:




  • A Bachelors’ Degree in Architecture or related field is required;

  • Must have at least ten (10) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction sector. Part of this experience should have been in a general role.

  • Experience working on residential, commercial and religious buildings is required

  • Proficiency in the use of Architectural software such as AutoCAD

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • A member of GHIA will be an added advantage
