Position Summary

The reputable construction company with 30 years of experience in the construction sector in Ghana, that is committed to improving the quality of life of the Ghanaian through the provision of appropriate and sustainable infrastructure development solutions is in search of an experienced and dynamic individual as Site Supervisor. 

Successful candidates should take pride in their work, and must have experience in running a safe and efficient site that keeps operations flowing, and delivers quality work. 

 

Scope

The Site Supervisor is generally expected to manage and supervise projects to its completion phase, in accordance with health and safety guidelines. The Site Supervisor will typically work with the site foreman to organize construction works.

Responsibilities

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the following duties:

• General supervision of works under his/her care


• Draw up and review work programmes periodically


• Ensure total quality and quick delivery of all projects


• Ensure executed of works/projects in a cost-effective manner


• Co-ordinate activities of workers


• Set targets for Site foremen


• Resolve solve technical problems on the field


• Submit weekly reports to management on the progress of work done


• Develop and review policies, procedures and practices in line with scope of work

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or related field is required.


• A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role.


• Significant team management experience in a construction company. 


• Demonstrated success in managing building projects to the completion stage is a plus.


• Ability to communicate with, motivate, and if necessary discipline workers.

Skills and Competence:

• Excellent leadership and organizational abilities


• Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines


• Conversant with health and safety training


• Good interpersonal skills
