Vacancy: Payroll Supervisor

Job Description

Our client, a leading ceramics company is currently looking to hire an experienced and proactive Payroll Supervisor to help with their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will manage and oversee the administration of payroll to ensure that employees receive accurate paychecks in a timely manner. S/He will prepare certain tax and business documents in order to fulfill regulatory requirements.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee compensation and payroll support team


• Oversee the distribution of pay to employees


• Keep track of prevailing pay rates and make sure we offer competitive


• Conduct research on employee satisfaction (e.g., using surveys and quantitative data)


• Identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees


• Maintain and update compensation databases 


• Undertake monthly performance appraisal and performance management.


• Accurate calculation of monthly salaries

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of First Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Management


• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in similar role


• Membership to Professional certification is an added advantage.

REQUIREMENTS

• High degree of professionalism in delivery of work


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and power point


• A good team player; relate well with managers and subordinates


• Be able to work under minimum supervision


• Good administrative and organization skills


• Must have strong background in Statistics, Finance or accounting


• Good data analysis background


• Good in performance management


• Knowledge in S.A.P Software will be an added advantage
