Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the job is to run the ICT implementation activities in different departments in terms of its day-to-day operation.

 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities




  • Assist in maintaining a full up-to-date inventory for all hardware including Modem, Hubs, Monitors, including the telecommunications-related computer equipment’s. Detailing Purchase date, Price, Serial Number, Model Number, expected replacement date and maintenance where applicable.

  • Assist in maintaining a full up-to-date Software list including all operating systems backed up by the original licenses or invoice, detailing Software licenses, Purchase date, Price (where applicable), release number, and maintenance (where applicable)

  • Assist in the maintenance of a full up-to-date schematic diagram, identifying all main systems including interfaces, reservation system, E-Mail, and any interfaced System.

  • Assist in maintaining a full up-to-date schematic diagram; identify all cabling routes and clear & exhaustive labelling.

  • Assist in routine network administration and maintenance 

  • Assist in recommendation in the purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software. 

  • Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. 

  • Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures. 

  • Assist the IT supervisor in ensuring that all critical equipment’s are covered by a maintenance contract.

  • Assist in managing the capacity planning of the servers & tape back-up.

  • Provide assistance in managing and testing the Disaster Recovery Plan. (Reloading of back-up, live test of UPS).


Other Duties and Responsibilities




  • Answer staff questions in person and via phone on all company’s IT supported applications.

  • Advise staff on appropriate action

  • Assist in the determination of source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.). 

  • Backup Processing and testing

  • Assist in E-mail Accounts and milling list (Configure, maintenance and upgrade)

  • Executive and Follow up for IT procedures as an ISO system.

  • Assist in Implementing support ticket forms and any new administration forms

  • Assist in the supervision of all help desk engineer(s) activities and administration

  • Web site Administration.

  • Inter-Department communication and corresponding.

  • Participate as required in hazard identification, risk assessment of controls.

  • Participate as required in incident investigation.

  • Participate as required in the development and review of QEH&S policy and objectives.

  • Assist in managing the physical security of any computer room, internet access.

  • To stay up-to-date with technology change, trends and future in the hospitality industry and in general


Supervisory Responsibilities




  • Supervision of all trainee help desk activities and administration

  • Web site Administration.

  • Have an authority to monitor the web sites that are access by the employees.

  • Have an authority to close any harmful site.

  • Have an authority to escalate an employee who uses his computer by a mistake way.

  • Stop work when exposure to a hazard presents too high risk to the employee safety.


General Duties




  • Any other duties that may be assigned.


Key Performance Indicators




  • Executed routine network administration and maintenance

  • Well Managed capacity planning of the servers & tape back-up.

  • Well maintained and a full up-to-date inventory per PC, all Software applications installed including location and release number.

  • Strict Adherence to QEH&S policy and objectives.

  • Executive and Follow up for IT procedures as an ISO system.

  • Zero record of any ICT unresolved issues




Required Skills or Experience




  • BSc. Computer Science or a related field


Experience




  • Experience in IT or Operation is desirable

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience.

  • Good experience on windows server 2008 and 2013 (Active directory, DHCP, DNS, IIS services), network security (ISA & TMG) programs and network infrastructure. 

  • Have good experience in troubleshooting windows XP, Windows 7 and windows 8. Good in using all Microsoft office application (troubleshooting and support). 

  • Have good experience in dealing will mail servers and hosting Control Panel.


Knowledge




  • Knowledge of codes, policies, regulations and procedures related to the company.

  • Knowledge of basic budgeting theories and principles.

  • Knowledge of the targeted clients.

  • Good Cultural Awareness.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
