Centre for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (C-WASH) is a non-governmental organisation in Ghana working to contribute to improvements in coverage and sustainability of water supply, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services for un-served and underserved populations particularly in rural communities, small towns, and deprived urban settlements.  The Programme Manager will lead and competently manage initiatives for the achievement of programme and organisational objectives/targets.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead and manage the WASH portfolio of the organisation in cooperation with key primary and secondary stakeholders such as households, communities, institutions (especially schools and Health Care Facilities), partners, MMDAs, as well as relevant Ministries and Agencies. 

The incumbent will also be responsible for the overall development and coordination of the National Network of Community Water Services (NETCOWAS) in Ghana, working closely with Regional Coordinators of NETCOWAS to strengthen governance, sustainability and resilience of rural/small towns piped water services in Ghana. Furthermore, she/he will undertake other duties as may be assigned by the Director.

Required Skills or Experience

Applicants must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Social Sciences, Water and Sanitation, or other relevant disciplines.
