Job Description



  1. Oversee the head office operations aspect of the bank by ensuring:

    • Closing of Credit Officers’ field cash collection by ensuring that they are retired to the teller.

    • Liaising with Head of Credit with Education to ensure that group reports are done on daily and monthly basis.

    • Ensure that group postings, reporting as well as individual balances on schedule agree with the system balances.

    • Liaising with Head of Credit with Education to ensure that repayments outstanding are investigated and reported to management on weekly basis.



  2. As a field officer, he or she will form groups, manage and report on them to management.

  3. Ensure that postings into the system are called over and hooked to their respective GLs before the end of day.

  4. Provide end of month reconciliation between schedule and system balances with respect to the following: imprest account, group loans, SME loans and individual savings and loan balances.

  5. Liaise with the Head of Credit with Education (CwE) to prepare for management approval a program for recovery of default loans and produce update reports on them on monthly basis.

  6. Recommend loans for approval and ensuring that loans are disbursed to Customers in timely and appropriate manner and provide report on them to management.

  7. Provide monthly report on the following to management:

    • Operations Report

    • Group Report

    • Status of Customer balances and /or positions

    • Cash analysis reports

    • Security situation reports.



  8. Ensure that relevant system approvals pertaining to operations of the branch activities are carried out in consultation with the heads of relevant Units/Departments

  9. Any other duty assigned by management/MD




Required Skills or Experience



  1. Demonstrable Experience of past Group Formation and management experience

  2. MS Office Suite (Especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  3. Practical working knowledge in Zigloi Banking Software

  4. Report Preparation
