A global producer of Spirits and Wines is looking for a Human Resources Specialist for its Ghana Office



The HR Specialist will engage with the business unit team in order to execute HR priorities including talent acquisition, performance & talent management, employee engagement, HR operations/ systems and workplace compliance. The role holder will also support implementation of global HR programs/ initiatives for the business. 



Responsibilities




  • Provide HR support to the business as it relates to human resources programs and policies, often encompassing several areas of human resources, including recruiting, university relations, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, workplace compliance and training

  • Work with business managers and their teams to deliver objective setting, annual performance appraisals, performance development plans and performance improvement plans, where needed

  • Be accountable for recruiting/hiring process by developing new requisitions, drafting/proofreading job descriptions, attend intake and debrief meetings, conducting phone interviews, reviewing resumes, scheduling onsite interviews, preparing offer letters and onboarding of an employee

  • Be accountable for employee development, including conducting talent reviews, support in creating succession plans, development/execution of training needs, etc.

  • Be accountable for employee and labor relations: assist with processing employee grievances, workplace compliances as per the local compliance standards & labor laws




Required Skills or Experience


A successful candidate will have progressive HR Specialist/Generalist experience within multiple HR disciplines and a fundamental understanding of HR practices/process around talent management.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field.




  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college/university; Professional Certification in HRM / Masters in HRM preferred

  • 3+ years of human resource specialist experience; experience of plant/ manufacturing HR will be preferable

  • Experience of working in FMCG is highly preferable (4+ years)

  • Good working knowledge & practical understanding of Employment Laws

  • Working knowledge and practical understanding of using HR Information Systems

  • Experience of working with teams in a fast paced, high-growth focused, dynamic and a hands-on work environment.

  • Have a strong solution focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
