Job Purpose:



The role is responsible for deploying an overarching marketing strategy including branding, B2B demand generation, online and offline customer marketing and advertising. The role will be the owner of a standalone marketing budget to be used to drive demand; the owner of customer experience metrics to create and deploy merchants’ solutions improvement strategies



General Duties



Marketing Strategy and Implementation




  • Drives strategy and execution for digital marketing, lead generation and engagement, including content marketing, digital advertising, search engine optimization, mobile, and social media.

  • Develops the B2B demand generation strategy for Emergent Payments Ghana

  • Defines and develops a customer segmentation strategy



Market Research and Product Development / Improvement




  • Owns customer experience metrics collaborating with the service desk team 

  • Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data to identify problems and pain points in the customer journey, as well as opportunities for growth.

  • Innovates new customer solutions for secure and convenient package delivery

  • Oversees customer insight survey processes, and translate insights into actions – new product development or improvements on existing one

  • Stays up-to-date with competitors and understand the latest trends in the industry.



Marketing Communication and Branding 




  • Manage daily execution of campaigns across marketing channels.

  • Ensures brand consistency across media and platforms in marketing messaging and product copy.

  • Plays key role in local branding decisions 

  • Nurtures campaigns available to the sales force

  • Manage social media accounts, by implementing a social media strategy




Required Skills or Experience



  1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (minimum entry level qualification required by the position)




  • University degree in Marketing or a related field; an additional professional certificate in Marketing (CIMG, CIM-UK) will be an advantage 

  • A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, preferably in the retail and commerce industries




  1. TECHNICAL (key job knowledge/skills required by the position)




  • Ability to create and manage content for distribution to online channels and social media platforms for B2B

  • Demonstrated ability to create B2B marketing programs that increase revenue and generate customer acquisition, conversion and lead generation

  • Ability to plan and execute digital Marketing Strategy experience.

  • Ability to conduct market research 




  1. MANAGERIAL (State key managerial knowledge/skills required by the position)



·       Ability to plan, organise and execute programmes



·       Ability to prepare marketing plans and budget and monitor their execution



·       Ability to deliver work to tight deadlines, with good organizational and time-management skills




  1. PERSONALITY (State key personal attributes required by the position)




  • Ability to create / innovative; being organized /detail-oriented; team player/ solution-oriented approach

  • Have strong analytical skills, proven ability to consume and understand data, to provide clear results and analysis

  • Ability to relate effectively to people at all levels

  • Ability to communicate well, with good presentation skills

  • Being assertive – ability to articulate viewpoints and stick to them where necessary
