Vacancy: Business Analyst

Job Description

• Provides business analytical support to Management in business reporting, cyclical business processes including budgeting, forecasting and total business analytics for overall profitability and sustainability of the business.


• Regularly evaluates the company’s operational practices and processes, studies industry trends, and propose cost-effective solutions to increase efficiency and boost profits


• Ensures reconciliation of data and reports, resolves discrepancies, and collaborates across Technical, Commercial, HR, Risk, Internal Audit and Finance Units


• Conducts economic, market and competitor analysis and obtains analytics related to the business


• Conducts root cause analysis on variances in operational reports and provides operational improvement suggestions for the Commercial Finance and Technical units


• Regularly analyzes and gains understanding of the company’s operational methodologies, standards, tools, and techniques, and identify room for improvement.


• Develops and implements new initiatives for financial planning and business intelligence systems.


• Develops and implements tracking and performance evaluation matrices for the Commercial Unit on LOB and Channel dynamics


• Monthly reports on analytics for the core business functions – Technical, Commercial and Finance


• Conducts risk monthly/quarterly based analytics of all core functions.


• Coordinates actuarial valuations/assessments.


• Any other related duties.

Required Skills or Experience

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Business Management, or any related field from a recognized university.


• Professional qualification in accounting or finance is desirable.


• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or similar position.


• Experience in budgeting and financial analysis, the ability to forecast, and a strong understanding of performance indicators.


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel


• Advanced presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint


• Working knowledge of Risk Management


• Planning and monitoring
