Job Role

As a Store Keeper you are responsible for fulfilling the below listed work schedule. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for and ensures that Shop and stock are:


• Accurate in terms of quantities without shortages


• Clean (sanitation)


• Well packed and arranged neatly to avoid falling and damages


• Items are elevated on wooden pallets


• Keep a good display on the items. Maintain good visibility (stands, shelves, pyramids… etc), lighting system, ventilation


• Check all items received for quantity, quality and return or reject it if rusted, near expiry or damaged


• Check all items received for quantity, quality and return or reject it if rusted, near expiry or damaged


• Must check the store for pests and rodents (rats) and organize periodic schedule for insecticide spraying


• Accountable for preparing waybills for:


• Returned items


• Returned damaged on delivery


• Customer’s purchase


• Alert the manager about any shortage (Partials) or undelivered items from main warehouse.


• Check that expiry dates are far and arrange the stock as FIFO (First-in-First-Out). Thus, by keeping records of items that will expire in 6 months time and advise the Manager to return it in case it can’t be sold


• Must keep a manual stock cards are updated on daily basis


• Must prospect for customers to make  sales and delivery


• Must keep proper filing of all waybills, VAT invoices, returns, transfer papers or any other documents


• Responsible for conducting stock audit and inform the manager of any near expires or low stock levels.


• Must respect company rules and regulations.

Required Skills or Experience

• HND or Diploma in marketing , accounting or related any discipline courses 


• Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Reporting (Sales Entry, Items needed, Near to Expiry.)
