Vacancy: Finance and Administration Officer

Required Skills or Experience

• Degree in Accounting and Finance, or equivalent accounting qualification. 


• 3 years’ progressive work experience in accounting and financial management that includes financial analysis, reporting and budgeting.  


• Working knowledge in financial software, QuickBooks software and reporting systems, spreadsheet and word-processing applications. 


• Ability to deal with donors and donor reporting skills.


• Ability to maintain adequate records of all transactions


• Knowledge of the procurement act.


• Knowledge of the Taxation laws of Ghana


• Knowledge of the Accountant General’s systems and procedures. 


• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.


• Knowledge in variance tracking, accounts payable and receivable processing.


• Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures.


• Excellent oral and written skills in English with ability to clearly and concisely communicate ideas to a variety of audiences.  


• Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work under pressure and within guidelines. 


• Ability to manage the arduous physical and emotional strains of the job.   


• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. 


• Ability to quickly learn and apply new system procedures as they are introduced.


• Resource Management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration.


• Ability to deal with donors and donor reporting skills.
