Job Description

Our client, an FMCG company is currently looking for a highly qualified individual to fill the role of a cash sales person.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking all sales activities as underlined below.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Selling peak products from van stock to New and Existing customers in target area.


• Achieving all assigned sales targets in value and volume


• Identifying new account opportunities and proactively cold call on target accounts to achieve new business within your area.


• Maintaining maximum customer service displayed at all times


• Ensuring products are correctly merchandised on Company owned stands


• Achieving listings for new products in all accounts and for existing products in new accounts.


• Communicating regularly with the Supervisor/Area Sales Manager and providing timely updates and highlighting opportunities.


• Suggesting re-orders for out of stock or low stock lines within multiples


• Adhering to agreed journey plan that will include all accounts within the jurisdiction.


• Returning van sales and report sheets to supervisor on a daily basis.


• Updating sales on field max on trade


• Selling on cash basis only


• Performing any other duties as required to fulfill the Company needs.

Required Skills or Experience

• Must have an HND or Degree in marketing.


• Must have hands experience and be conversant with trading in the traditional market.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be innovative with lots if ideas for the retail/FMCG industry.


• Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Should be able to work with minimum or no supervision.


• Should be honest and upfront.


• Should be a good listener, confident and resilient.
