Reporting to: Key Account Manager


 



Role Purpose


To consistently and responsibly grow sales of brands and Categories with assigned MT Customers while ensuring the flawless implementation of Sales, Merchandising and distribution strategy. 



Main Accountabilities


 


Stakeholder Management



  • ​​Responsible for the achievement of sales Category Value and Volume targets for both the customer and business.

  •  Develop and Manager customer relationships to drive growth for both Beiersdorf and the customer. 

  •  Ensure conflicts or issues relating to customer accounts are firmly resolved within the acceptable time period.

  • Develop achieve agreed revenue and volume targets. 

  • Support the Key Account Manager on the preparation of Customer JBP and Performance reviews. 




 Sales Administrations 




  • Price increase communication and agreement obtained with Key Contacts in Customers Organizations 

  • Ensure New Product Development listing and range by assigned customer per store/Banner.

  • Agreed assortment and Must Stock SKU are listed and consistently on the shelf

  •  Secure Key account Customer Buy in regarding promotions and other in-store activities and ensure proper documentation of such agreements. 



Operational Excellence 




  • Work closely with Merchandiser to ensure availability, visibility, and accessibility of our brands in both on the primary shelf and secondary displays. 

  • Share of shelf: Ongoing engagement with the customer to ensure allocation of correct share of shelf 

  • Placement: Ensure correct placement of ranged SKUs in accordance with the agreed planogram.

  •  NPD on the shelf, as per agreed ranging: KAE to have NPD listed and ordered into Customer 2 weeks after Open Order date.

  • Support the negotiations of POS instore placement and take ownership for the placement and maintenance of the POS material in assigned stores. 



Analytics & Reporting 




  • Communicate competitor developments, launches/ re-launches, opportunities, special developments, information, and or feedback gathered through field activity to the line manager. Plan and set up meetings with the relevant customer contacts and share trade contact reports within 72hrs after meeting. 

  • Provide Monthly reports on customer and trade performance. 



KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS




  •  Achievement of Customer Category Volume and Value targets on a monthly basis.

  •  Execution of merchandising standards, planograms, and promotions for assigned Customers.

  •  Prompt payments from customers.

  • Preparation of quality and on-time reports.

  • Strong relationships between Beiersdorf and key decision-makers/ influencers in outlets.

  • Provide on-the-job training to Merchandisers and shelf stockers / Shelf assistants.






Required Skills or Experience



  • Degree/ Diploma in Sales & Marketing or any related field 

  •  Minimum 2-3years relevant experience in  Key account Customer interfacing and exposure



Experience



  • Ability to persuade and influence others. 

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations on  New products, Promotions, and other activities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Good analytical capability 

  •  Effective Conflict Management 



Skills




  •  Computer literate i.e. proficient in Microsoft Office ( Excel, Powerpoint, Word)



Job Requirements:



  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license 

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule 



Key Interfaces



  • External: Key account customers, 3rd Merchandising Team.

  • Internal: Sales, Shopper and customer Marking  team, Supply Chain and Finance AR
