A reputable and rapidly growing organization is seeking the services of smart, confident, performance oriented and experienced professionals to occupy the position of Business Development Manager.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Business and Financial Performance




  • Develop and implement a customer focused growth strategy that will deliver improved sustained profitability for PASL

  • Design and drive a market orientation towards extending financial services to the low – income, unbanked and under-banked communities

  • Design and implement tactical sales/marketing promotional activities

  • Identify relevant new business opportunities and design "go-to-market" plans to deliver measurable, significant revenues and profitability

  • Generate business opportunities by prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners.

  • Execute aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive PASL products and services as the preferred choice of the customer

  • Plan and carry out all activities to achieve credit disbursement objectives

  • Lead in product development when required

  • Jointly responsible for the revenue budgets of the Deposits and E-Business Departments



Client Centricity




  • Work with the research Department to identify new emerging markets and customer needs which can be serviced profitably

  • Enhance customer experience with personalized products and services



People Management




  • Motivate and support Branch Managers to implement strategies to bridge gaps and meet set targets in deposits, credit and e-business

  • Effectively lead a small team, if found necessary, to deliver on business development objectives



Process, Control and Operational Performance




  • Take responsible steps to ensure that relevant business information is accessible to all stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance to internal procedures and processes

  • Ensure no or minimized operations risk

  • No audit exceptions

  • All regulatory requirements should be followed




Required Skills or Experience


Qualification




  • A first degree is a must

  • Master’s degree in Administration, finance or marketing or a closely related field will be an advantage



Experience




  • Demonstrable field experience and capability in the retail trade space

  • A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in credit operations for micro & small businesses

Skills and Competencies




  • Track record in a management position of a financial institution servicing the MSME sector.

  • Knowledge of non-bank financial institution operations.

  • Must be adaptable, innovative, and possess good analytical skills & sound judgment;

  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work well with people from varied backgrounds and cultures at all levels in the organization.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills

  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills; 

  • Ability to multitask and work within deadlines;

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel,  & Outlook (or similar software);  

  • Basic analytical and statistical skills

  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management and employees.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to work under pressure
