Job Description


Agresearch Lead in collaboration with USAID funded project seeks the services of field team members (enumerators) to collect data for Intrapartum Nutrition and Small Sick New Born assessments in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Hence, we are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individuals with outstanding data collection, data quality assurance and community entry and exit skills as an Enumerator to support the implementation of two formative evaluations for the Momentum Country and Global Leader (MCGL) Project led by Jhpiego.



As an ideal candidate, you are expected to have a solid technical foundation in data collection and data quality assurance. The Enumerator shall work with field team members and consultants to drive the production of the highest quality research for our client. The data collection exercise will be carried out in selected health facilities in the region and hence enumerators will be selected from the project region.

Job Description




  • Participate in data collection training

  • Participate in piloting of field instruments in selected health centers

  • Manage data collection equipment

  • Quantitative data collection using tablets

  • Qualitative data collection

  • Data quality assurance

  • Produce quality field pictures daily

  • Produce and submit daily report to field coordinators

  • Participate in debriefing sessions after data collection exercise.




Required Skills or Experience



  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or any health related field

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience collecting data in health facilities in Ghana

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with fluency in the local languages spoken in the study areas. Well organized, detail-oriented, excellent listening skills.

  • Experience in using CAPI for data collection

  • Proven ability in qualitative data collection

  • Proven ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters

  • Owns a motorbike or any other means of transportation

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

  • Ability to recall detail and apply existing knowledge to new situations.

  • Proven capacity to be punctual and reliable

  • Ability to stay and work comfortably in the specific study areas during the data collection exercise
