Transformation Integrity Diversity Equality Excellence Job Description Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (CARE), Inc. doing business as CARE International in Ghana is seeking a talented, motivated and innovative MEAL Specialist – PROSPER Project, who will work closely with the Project Manager to provide technical support by developing a comprehensive MEAL system enabling CARE to demonstrate the impact of its response ensuring greater accountability. S/he will harmonize the MEAL approaches to ensure efficiency in implementation and ensure compliance with CARE’s MEAL minimum standards, guidelines and procedures. The MEAL Specialist will ensure that the project is well monitored and is of excellent technical quality. The role holder will also play an important role in improving information management and data quality, and in strengthening knowledge sharing and learning across the project and key community structures. PROSPER II project seeks to improve food security and nutrition and the socio-economic empowerment of 11,700 people. The key project objectives are; Empowering women through agricultural and non-agricultural livelihood options, strengthening the financial inclusion of women in cocoa-farming households, improving nutrition behaviors and strengthening Community Governance. JOB PROFILE The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Specialist will be based in Kumasi and will be required to travel to all project communities in Western North Region at agreed periods. The MEAL Specialist will report directly to the PROSPER II Project Manager, based in Kumasi. The MEAL Specialist will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of the project. He/she will develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by the project. He/she will also provide technical assistance to project team in relation to monitoring and reporting. Some Key Responsibilities for this role:
