Report To: Director of Development



Job Brief

The Program Manager will ensure successful management of the Social Intervention program. Other relevant aspects of the role include managing and encouraging beneficiary participation, liaising with other stakeholders, planning, and contributing to the Social Intervention’s sub programs, i.e. Education Program, Social Services program, Scholarship program and the Volunteer program.



Responsibilities





  • Education Program 


    • Provide creative vision and leadership for education program activities.

    • Develop and manage the education program, work plan coordinate and implement educational program for the community

    • Routinely evaluate and ensure that educational programs are developed and maintained which are responsive to the needs of the community and education stakeholders

    • Develop and implement operating policies as necessary or as directed to ensure is working in an efficient manner

    • Collaborate with staff on the preparation of quarterly and annual financial budget for approval

    • Develop and oversee school calendaring and schedule community school visits and other events

    • Perform other duties assigned




  • Social Services Program 

    • Develop program initiatives and program outlines

    • Plan and implement thrift shop and other social services projects

    • Ensure maintenance and filing of all project and field related informations, documents and reports

    • Arrange and coordinate project meetings and trainings

    • Assist other Program Managers and Officers in carrying out official duties when the need arises.




  • Scholarship Program 

    • Manage and provide support to the Foundation’s scholarship committee

    • Develop, implement, coordinate and maintain the scholarship program including preparation of new scholarship agreements, monitor and maintain regular contact with students and other stakeholders.

    • Prepare scholarship application process for students and coordinate scholarship application screening.

    • Assist in the coordination of other foundation special events as planned

    • Assist staff in office computer operations and database input, respond to enquiries relating to the scholarship program and develop and maintain the scholarship online presence




  • Volunteer Program 

    • Standardize and maintain the volunteer program

    • Liaise with the Project Coordinator to ensure the organization has enough targeted volunteers to fulfil its service mission.

    • Collaborate with the volunteer team to use variety of methods to attract suitable candidates

    • Orient new volunteers who come on board

    • Connect volunteers with staff and programs needing volunteer support

    • Ensure that an appropriate volunteer appreciation program is in place

    • Develop and carry out program evaluation to ensure volunteer feedback and satisfaction with the program

    • Maintain files on all volunteers.






Required Skills or Experience




  • Master’s Degree in Project Management/Development studies/ Education/Social Work or any other relevant field

  • Minimum of 3-5years experience in a Managerial role with a track record of executed projects

  • Skilled in partnering with relevant instutions&authorities, both international and local NGO’s to enhance the mission and vision of the organization

  • Ability to develop tangible and insightful programs

  • Strong project management and financial analysis skills

  • Must have previous experience in volunteer program coordination

  • Ability to structure complex tasks and translate targets into work plan

  • Track record of building strong stakeholder relationships
