Job Description




  • PROJECT OR DIVISION: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

  • REPORTS TO: Quality Control Manager (QCM)

  • LOCATION: Anywhere within the Ashanti, Volta, Oti and Bono East Regions (Specific locations would be confirmed in your appointment letter)


 



PURPOSE

The Quality Control Coordinator (QCC) is responsible for conducting field audits of completed toilet facilities, enforcing consistency and process improvements of standards production by Toilet Business Owners (TBO), control quality at both production and installation phases, and facilitate onsite coaching/training for new TBO’s. Facilitate continuous material and process optimization to reduce lags in production and installation periods.



REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS




  • Reports directly to the Quality Control Manager

  • Have continuous relationship with Toilet Business Owners (TBO).


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Modifications may be made at any time




  • Ensure that Toilet Business Owners (TBO) receive, log, and install orders

  • Report weekly on stock and production levels of tbos and ensure effective restocking for tbo’s

  • Ensure siting/installation of toilet product meets environmental regulatory standards

  • Conduct post installation audits and regulatory standards to ensure both quality and user satisfaction

  • Maintain or improve on standard product quality and on-time delivery

  • On-site coaching/training of new TBOs.

  • Continuous optimization of material use during production and installation to reduces waste

  • Support QCM in identifying, recruiting and training new TBOs.

  • Effective record keeping on TBO’s performance, to aid in identifying training needs for tbo’s.

  • Reporting all environmental issues that emerges before, during and post installation

  • Pick up coordinates of all toilets that are installed




Required Skills or Experience




  • Construction Technician Certificate II (CTC II)

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in field works

  • In lieu of the certificate, at least 5 years work experience in building construction will be considered

  • Available to relocate to any part of the Ashanti, and Bono East Regions

  • Experience working in rural areas and with rural communities is an asset

  • Knowledge in WASH is an asset

  • Ability to Speak two of these languages; Twi, Bono, Housa, Ewe and any other languages from the Volta, Oti, Ashanti & Bono East regions of Ghana.

  • Holds a Valid Motorbike License and Capability to ride a Motorbike

  • Experience in work planning and record keeping
