Job Description

• Location: Onsite at HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd, Adeiso, E/R.

Job Purpose

Operating the biogas plant with routine maintenance works.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out the day-to-day operations at the biogas plant per SOP.


• Monitor feeding levels and make adjustment as communicated by the Supervisor.


• Take measurements and records of all operational parameters such as pH, Temperature, FOS/TAC, VFA, COD, CH4, CO2, O2 and H2S daily to ensure the smooth running of the plant.


• Shred all organic waste when available for the biogas plant or transport to the compost site.


• Ensure to inspect all equipment before work starts.


• Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in the areas such as air Injection pump, stirrers, pumps, and shredders.


• Regularly monitor and report all operating conditions such as flowmeters, and gauges.


• Adhere to all health and safety protocols while on site


• Adhere to all food safety protocols on site


• Ensure the organization and cleanliness in and around the biogas plant


• Ensure to keep data on all activities at the biogas plant


• Carry out maintenance work on the plant with the support from the workshop technicians.

Required Skills or Experience

• Minimum of Diploma/ HND in Energy, Environment or Renewable Energy Engineering.


• Practical knowledge/experience biogas plant operating with a minimum of two years relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in a production environment.


• Ability to work independently and with less supervision.


• Effective time-management skills, ability to multi-task and be able to work under pressure.
