A reputable Tier-2 Microfinance Company seeks qualified personnel for immediate employment.



Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Interview/screen prospective clients and guide them through the application process ensuring that all required documentation is provided by the client. 

  • Perform pre-qualification assessment including visits to the client’s place of business.

  • Prepare appraisal reports for client’s loan requests.

  • Communicate loan approval or denial to the client and facilitate the disbursement process.

  • Maintain credit/loan files to ensure that files are complete (application letter, appraisal form and report, loan approval letter, documentation of security, repayment schedule and monitoring and recovery reports.)

  • Undertake field visits, prepare reports and generate new business.

  • Provide technical advice and manage useful and practical information for the benefit of customers.

  • Ensure a healthy and quality loan portfolio.

  • Responsible for the growth of the loan portfolio.

  • Monitor credit performance of clients including status of payments and conditions of the clients’ business on a monthly basis.

  • Market the institution’s loan products to clients and build and maintain client relationships educating them on any new products and services.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports and to ensure correct classification and provisioning for loans and advances.

  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Remuneration: Basic Salary (Plus Commission)




Required Skills or Experience




  • Minimum Diploma/HND/First Degree in any Discipline

  • Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar position in a Tier-2 Microfinance Institution

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and a team player

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Quality oriented with eye for details

  • Ability to multitask and work within deadlines

  • Highly motivated professional with the highest level of integrity

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
