A reputable Tier-2 Microfinance Company seeks qualified personnel for immediate employment.



Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Maintain and ensure good and adequate system of accounting is in place.

  • Establish budgetary control systems and procedures.

  • Responsible for the timely preparation of monthly management financial reports.

  • Preparation of payroll.

  • Responsible for all statutory computations and payments.

  • Maintenance of fixed asset register.

  • Preparation of annual budget.

  • Preparation of budget monitoring report to Management.

  • Preparation of trial balance for audit purposes.

  • Liaise with External Auditors ensuring timely completion of the annual audit.

  • Undertake market research and perform treasury functions.

  • Generate deposit.

  • Advise Management on all regulatory issues relating to insurance and taxation. 

  • Implement of controls to safeguard the assets of the institution.

  • Periodic review of financial income and expenditure strategy.

  • Report to the CEO on all matters relating on finance.

  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Additional Responsibility




  • Preparation of Bank of Ghana Prudential Reports.

  • Maintenance of the company’s IT Infrastructure.


Remuneration: Basic Salary (Plus Commission)




Required Skills or Experience




  • Minimum HND/First Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or Part 2 of ICA/ACCA

  • Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar position in a Tier-2 Microfinance Institution

  • Ability to prepare Bank of Ghana Prudential Returns

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and a team player

  • Good financial analysis skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Quality oriented with eye for details

  • Ability to multitask and work within deadlines

  • Highly motivated professional with the highest level of integrity

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
