Vacancy: Mathematics & Science Teacher

Job Description

A Full-Time Maths & Science Teacher is required for immediate employment at a Private Christian Basic (Primary) and Junior High School. Duties will be

• to plan the effective teaching and learning of Maths & Science for pupils in the JHS Department


• to teach and provide learning opportunities in Maths & Science for pupils in the JHS Department

Remuneration will be comensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Skills or Experience

• BEd in Maths and Science or similar qualification


• Must have completed their National Service


• Three years of Post Qualification experience in a similar setting (ie a Private Christian Primary and JHS School).


• Familiarity with the New National Curriculum.


• A good written and spoken command of the English Language


• Should be able to demonstrate Critical Thinking Skills


• ICT proficiency


• Must be able to participate in all aspects of school activities

Successful candidates will be required to set a good example in terms of punctuality, attendance, behaviour and dress to enhance the School's reputation and standing with parents and pupils.
