Job Description

Job Purpose

Esoko is changing how businesses manage smallholder farmers, suppliers, and clients through the effective use of mobile/web innovations. The Product manager will be responsible for product management.


Core Responsibilities

  • Drive Product Vision for assigned products.

  • Develop and maintain product road map to attaining product vision.

  • Define and track product metrics consistently.

  • Serve as product owner for the scrum team and participate in sprint planning and sprint retrospective meetings.

  • Develop user stories for product backlog and prioritize consistent with road map.

  • Develop and implement product communication strategy for assigned products i.e. release notes, webinar, articles, blogs, product update meetings, support documents, and manuals.

  • Work with sales & marketing to produce compelling product pitches.

  • Be a product evangelist for the assigned product in the company and outside the company.

  • Develop and maintain competitor analysis for assigned products.

  • Develop and maintain product documentation i.e., business case, personas, use cases.

  • Develop and maintain a growth plan for assigned products.

Required Skills or Experience

  • About 5 years of total experience, with at least 3 years at a management level in solution design or product management in a SaaS or product company

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.

  • Highly detail-oriented

  • Obsessed with user experience and customer satisfaction.

  • Highly quantitative – you are a data-driven decision maker.

  • Intellectually curious and an original thinker

  • Process driven – the ends don’t always justify the means for you.

  • Empathetic leader – your EQ is as high as your IQ.
