Overview

A Reputable Manufacturing company seeks the services of a Financial Manager.




  • Line Manager: Ghana Finance Department

  • Direct Reporting: The IPO Team



Job Purpose

To assist in the comprehensive handling of financial management, accounting and supervision of the Ghana branch and all financial-related work.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Supervise external accounts/bills




  • Audit external accounts/bills accounting process and data accuracy, ensure bills data match with basic logic, no obvious loopholes and problems.

  • File the tax returns on time, deliver the report of external accounts/bills, complete the bills auditing task.

  • According to Ghana tax law regulations and various tax-related business of Ghana branch to planning tax, make a complete set of tax payment operation plans to avoid tax risks and reduce tax burdens.



Manage the expense reimbursement




  • Hands-on to review and check the expense reimbursement form, Money Loan form, vendor payment request form, customs clearance special fee application form.

  • Cost Internal Control: reansonably control the expenses of various expenses, ensure the rationality and authenticity of abnormal amount of expenses, be the last stop.

  • Standardize the reimbursement signing and approval process.

  • Statistic and supervise the coordination fees as it is the “blind spot” of the company`s expense reimbursement management and control, statistic each department coordination fees cost and report to finance department manager and MD regularly.



Manage Accounting files




  • Document Flow: manage the circulation of relevant financial vouchers and accounting materials of the branch, especially paper materials related to internal accounts, which cannot be lost or transferred to third parties and outside of the company.

  • Manage the collection, compilation, filing, ect. Of accounting documents, account books, reports and other accounting materials of the branch



Team Building and Talent Cultivation




  • Assist to Ghana Financial Dept. Manager to monitor and coach team member, ensure the smooth transaction of task, give wise guidance to the growth of subordinates, be able to train in accounting financial management, risk management and financial services, etc., understand the thinking dynamics of subordinates in a timely and in- depth manner, and deal with problems in their work and difficulties in life early discovery, early communication and early solution.

  • Give training on excellent financial experience and skills to new employees. Improve

  • finance department professional competency.

  • Assist the person in charge of finance in Ghana to do a good job in personnel deployment and job rotation of the finance department in Ghana.

  • Cultivate the employees in the department, formulate career development plans, and develop relationships with subordinates, etc.

  • Participate in the interview process, regularly evaluate performance and conduct the performance interview with an internal employee.

     

  • Revision and Improvement of the Accounting System

  • Audit Report

  • Forecasting and Budgeting

  • Public Relations

  • Preparations of reports

  • Balance sheets

  • Income statements

  • Cash flow statements etc​




Required Skills or Experience



  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree

  • Professional qualification in accounting such as ACCA or ICAG

  • At least 10 years of working experience, 5 of which must be in similar role

  • Must be conversant with the following:

  • Financial Management

  • Finance report analysis

  • Investment analysis

  • Economic market

  • Cost accounting

  • Management accounting

  • Audit
