The company has opportunities for qualified and interested persons to join the Distribution team to manage and grow the

Independent Life Planners Channel as a key channel for the business.




  • REPORTS TO:Regional Sales Manager

  • REMUNERTION:Per approved remuneration structure. Further details of this as well as otherterms of employment will be discussed at the interview

JOB PURPOSE

It is for the end-to-end management of the Independent Life Planner Channel. The purpose of Independent Life Planner

Channel Manager is to ensure s/he provides excellent and quality sales to clients in this channel, including managing

existing businesses by making sure they enjoy the Enterprise Advantage



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Plan and deliver on sales strategies to achieve business and personal targets

  • Prospect and sell the products and services of the company

  • Select and train Independent Life Planners

  • Set targets and manage Independent Life Planners to achieve personal as well as branch and corporate sales targets

  • Constant field activity with Independent Life Planners to improve on their selling skills and product knowledge

  • Prepare and undertake sales presentations to individuals, groups, and associations or corporate bodies

  • Effectively manage Independent Life Planners with focus on their engagement, motivation, and their welfare

  • Effectively communicate business decisions and information to all Independent Life Planners and other stakeholders

  • Handle performance improvement and performance management issues to ensure optimal performance of all Independent Life Planners

  • Fully implement all new initiatives that leads to the achievement of key business imperatives (Examples include, but are not limited to Customer Service at Your-Doorstep, Utilization of Sales IQ Portal, etc.)

  • Manage key partnerships with third parties including, but not limited to, recruitment sources and partnerships, etc.

  • Drive quality sales that will persist on our books

  • Open pay points and ensure Independent Life Planners sell from identifiable sources

  • Submit new businesses via the Sales IQ Portal

  • Provide timely and useful feedback to Underwriting & Reinsurance to improve on business processes

  • Ensure conservation of policies through professional advice and conduct

  • Ensure daily reporting of Team KRA to Regional Sales Manager

  • Handling of client issues both on the field and in the office

  • Follow up on commission issues and ensure Independent Life Planners are paid on time and accurately

  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to Regional Sales Manager

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader, Head of Department, or the business.




Required Skills or Experience



  • A minimum of a first degree in any discipline

  • Must have demonstrated team leadership skills

  • Must have a track record of excellent performance and good behaviour

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Must be very analytical

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to drive and have a valid driver’s license

  • Creative, confident and professional person with high levels of self-drive

  • Must be highly ethical

  • Excellent knowledge in use of ICT to achieve results
