Vacancy: Branch Manager

Job Description

• Develop and implement business strategies for the branch growth


• Provides a superior level of customer relations by meeting and visiting Customers to promote sales and customer retention.


• Plans and coordinates work schedules of Relationship Officers and Mobile bankers


• Ensures all applications have been correctly filled according to the credit policies of the company.


• Ensures that credit applications are assessed properly to determine creditworthiness to ensure 100% loan recovery.


• Provide positive leadership, training and supervision through active participation in sales to motivate staff to achieve branch goals.


• Submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports on branch operations, Portfolio performance and Loan Recovery, product performance and outreach activities


• Advises on recovery strategies to adopt


• Monitors branch portfolio


• Monitor branch expenses to ensure compliance with budget Any other duties that may be assigned

Required Skills or Experience

• Minimum qualification of Degree in Marketing/Finance/Accounts or any related field and


• Not less than two years of relevant working experience as a Relationship officer


• Not less than three years Managerial experience

Technical Competencies

• Business development, marketing and client relationship-building skills


• Knowledge of banking laws and regulations


• Experience in credit analysis and arrears management


• Ability to inspire clients to give their best in order to maintain 100% repayment Good Knowledge of SME & microfinance environment


• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

Managerial

• Ability to follow up to monitor people and work activities.


• Ability and willingness to train team members.


• Ability to motivate team members to optimum performance


• Leadership – ability to explain the vision, values and standards of the company and set the appropriate example. 


• Assertiveness- ability to articulate views and decisions and stick to them
