A reputable manufacturing company is looking to employ a Supervisor



The factory supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a factory, including the supervision of workers, the coordination of production, the maintenance of equipment, and the quality control of products. The factory supervisor typically works in the manufacturing or production facility and may be required to work long hours, including evenings and weekends. The supervisor must ensure that production goals are met while also maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.



Main Responsibilities



  • Coordinating with other supervisors to ensure that production goals are being met

  • Assigning tasks to employees based on their skills and experience levels

  • Monitoring inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure they are within acceptable ranges

  • Reviewing safety procedures to ensure that they are being followed by all workers

  • Interpreting and enforcing labour laws and regulations regarding working conditions and employee conduct

  • Scheduling and coordinating production schedules with other supervisors to meet deadlines

  • Overseeing maintenance activities such as repairing machinery or updating computer systems to improve efficiency

  • Training new employees in proper work procedures and safety measures

  • Evaluate employee performance.

  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

  • Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.

  • Recommend personnel actions, such as hiring, evaluations, or promotions.

  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

  • Plan and develop new products and production processes.

  • Maintain operations data and prepare management reports of production results.

  • Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.




Required Skills or Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in supply chain management, logistics, management, business administration or a related field.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to learn software systems; adept at Excel, Word and company’s software

  • Proficient in English and other commonly spoken Ghanaian languages
