Job Description



  • Department:Supply Chain Management 

  • Job reports to:Supply Chain Superintendent



Job Purpose


Responsible for the preparation and management of the contracting process. To ensure all contracts and agreements are legally sound, financially feasible, and in line with the company’s overall goals and objectives.


 


 


Primary Duties & Responsibilities 



  • Negotiating contract terms and conditions with vendors to ensure that they are in the best interest of the organization.

  • Reviewing bids from prospective vendors and awarding contracts based on price, quality of work, past performance, and other factors.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related inquiries.

  • Conducting audits to ensure that vendors are complying with the terms of their contracts.

  • Coordinating with other departments within an organization to ensure that contracts are effective.

  • Communicating regularly with vendors to ensure that they are meeting their contractual obligations.

  • Proactively identify potential risks and issues associated with proposed contracts and make recommendations to mitigate those risks.



 



Required Skills or Experience






























Minimum qualification (s) 




  • B. Tech/Degree / Higher National Diploma in Business Administration with additional qualification in Supply Chain Management




Experience (Minimum)




  • 2-3 years of working experience as a procurement assistant, contract officer or in a similar position



Knowledge (In-depth)




  • Fundamental knowledge of offer and acceptance law.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents, financial reports and technical documents.

  • Ability to apply arithmetic concepts such as fractions, ratios and proportions to real scenarios.

  • Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain procedures.

  • Good understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and occupational, safety and environmental regulations and laws.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to install, calibrate, program, and maintain diverse instrumentation and control equipment.

  • Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy and professionalism.
