Vacancy: Medical Equipment Technician

Job Description

Duties

• Assume responsibility for installation, repairs and maintenance of all equipment.


• Presentation of machines to prospective clients


• Provide training for company staff and health facility personnel 


• May recommend types of equipment needed and building alterations to accommodate equipment.


• Must be ready to travel outside Accra.


• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills or Experience

Education

• Typically requires an undergraduate or masters degree in a related field such as biomedical engineering

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

• Must have knowledge of medical equipment such as MRI, X-ray, CT- scan, ECG, etc.


• Knowledge of medical equipment and skill in its operation


• Knowledge of current prices of medical equipment both on the local market and oversees


• Ability to read and understand technical literature


• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with medical facilities.
