Job Summary


 We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant General Manager, you will take on a variety of responsibilities and duties such as restaurant marketing strategies, recruiting and hiring restaurant staff, training, overseeing food quality, developing menus as well and greeting and serving restaurant guests.

 


Roles and Responsibilities



  • Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation

  • Deliver superior guest services 

  • Ensuring guest satisfaction

  • Plan and develop guest loyalty programs

  • Plan new and update existing menus

  • Plan and develop the overall restaurant marketing strategy

  • Participate in local food events

  • Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints

  • Organize and supervise shifts

  • Manage and lead staff

  • Hire new employees

  • Training and evaluating staff performance

  • Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory

  • Manage restaurant supplies

  • Control costs and minimize waste

  • Nurture a positive working environment 

  • Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions

  • Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity and sales




Required Skills or Experience


Qualification and Skills

  • 5 years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role

  • 2 years of experience in customer service management

  • Familiarity with restaurant management software

  • Fluency in English and knowledge of other languages is a big plus

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to motivate others and lead by example

  • In-depth knowledge of cooking trends and best practices

  • Excellent experience in event planning

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality Management or relevant field

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.

  • Extensive food and wine knowledge

  • Computer literacy

  • Familiarity with restaurant management software Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills

  • Good financial management skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Team player

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills and overall hotel daily operations

  • Conduct hotel budgeting and financial planning

  • Plan and organize hotel activities to drive sales

  • Manage and monitor hotel expenses

  • Manage and track hotel inventory

  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns with the marketing teams

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with visitors and clients

  • Suggest and implement new ideas

  • Determine KPIs, track and produce reports

  • Hire and onboard new hotel staff

  • Evaluate staff performance

  • Ensure safety and adherence to rules and regulations

  • Prepare and manage schedules and shifts

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with management software 

  • Excellent customer service skills 

  • Great decision-making and problems- solving skills

  • Good leadership skills

  • Ability to motivate staff
