Position Overview:



We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The Early Childhood Teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction and care for young children, fostering their growth and development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, a deep understanding of child development principles, and the ability to create engaging learning experiences that support each child's unique needs and interests.



 



Key Responsibilities:





  1. Curriculum Planning and Implementation: Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. Create engaging learning experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and critical thinking skills.




  2. Child Observation and Assessment: Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of children's development and progress, using formal and informal assessment tools to inform instructional planning and individualized support strategies. Collaborate with colleagues and families to support each child's learning and growth.




  3. Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration. Implement effective behavior management techniques and strategies to promote self-regulation, social skills, and positive peer interactions.




  4. Parent Communication and Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with parents/guardians through open, effective communication, and regular updates on their child's development, progress, and achievements. Collaborate with families to support continuity of learning between home and school, and involve them in their child's educational journey.




  5. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices, stay current with best practices and research in early childhood education, and meet state licensing and accreditation requirements. Engage in reflective practice and seek feedback to continuously improve teaching effectiveness.




  6. Health and Safety: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom, following state regulations, licensing standards, and best practices for early childhood education. Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment that supports learning and exploration.




  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other members of the educational team, including teacher assistants, administrators, and support staff, to promote a positive and cohesive learning community. Share ideas, resources, and expertise to support the overall success of the program and meet the needs of diverse learners.






Required Skills or Experience


Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Valid state teaching license/certification for Early Childhood Education.

  • Previous experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or early learning setting preferred.

  • Strong understanding of child development principles, early learning standards, and best practices in early childhood education.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.

  • Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth, development, and learning journey.
