ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and running of shop activities as well as following standard operating procedures.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Greeting and assisting customers to find the goods and products they are looking for.

  • Assisting customers on the phone

  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries

  • Monitoring and requesting stock

  • Balancing cash book

  • Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints

  • Keep proper and accurate records for approved creditors.

  • Keeping the store and shop floor tidy and clean

  • Receive and inspect all incoming materials to the store and reconcile with stock request and waybill.

  • Perform monthly stock taking and reconciling with ERP with supervision from the Operations Manager

  • Packaging and labeling products before they are dispatched.

  • Arrange and label products in the storeroom for easy identification and accessibility.

  • Maintaining ISO documentation and record keeping

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

OHSE EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures 

  • Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions

  • Risk Assessment 

  • Hazard identification and reporting

  • Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable



QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE




  • At least a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field

  • Proven experience in retail sales for a minimum of two (2) years.
