Job Description

  • Reports to: Head, Central Processing & Technology 

  • Mandate: Assist the IT Manager to ensure all I.T related issues are resolved and keep the Bank out of any cyber fraud.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • User administration setup and accounts maintenance.

  • Recommend and maintain internal security policies and procedures that provide for the security of information technology facilities, software, equipment, and the integrity and security of the bank's automated information

  • Monitor system performance

  • Create file systems

  • Monitor network communication

  • Install or update system as soon as new version of OS and application software are out.

  • Setup security policies for users documentation to support internal work

  • Daily backup of transaction data/files on the server

  • Ensure repairs and maintenance of ICT and any electronic equipment being used by the Bank 

  • Handling of Help Desk requirements

  • Maintain security and confidentiality over issuance and proper maintenance of authorized user ID's and passwords and to maintain valid and current user list.

  • Reviewing access rights and logs periodically and suggesting preventive actions as required.

  • Reviewing and monitoring the security incidents within the bank.

  • Ensuring that all data possessed by or used by a particular staff has a designated owner.

  • Assist in the acquisition of security software and equipment to meet the bank's needs.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or IT or any related filed

  • At least two (3) years’ experience in similar role

  • Ability to work with less supervision

  • Ability to pay keen attention to details

  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Good knowledge in T24 Banking application system administration
