Growing Social Network

  • Location: Northern Ghana

Project Summary

IPA is seeking experienced enumerators to conduct surveys on its Growing Social Networking Project. The job may require you to work in the Northern Region of Ghana. Applicants who speak the following languages are preferred:

Dagbani, Chokosi, Fulfulde, Gonja, Mampruli, Likpakpan.

  • Job Title: Enumerator

  • Reports to: Field Manager

The Enumerators will conduct follow-up surveys and observations on DL classroom activities in the areas listed above.


  • Conduct baseline surveys in assigned communities.

  • Live within assigned districts or field stations during the period of the survey

  • Adhere to all IPA survey and data protocols.

  • Adhere to all covid-19 protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service.

  • Promptly respond to contact from the Research Associate, Field Manager, Senior Research Quality Associate or other IPA staff.

  • Perform other duties related to the project that may be assigned to him/her.


Required Skills or Experience

  • Must have Higher National Diploma (HND), first degree or its equivalent from a reputable institution with at least one-year field/data collection experience

  • Should be familiar with Computer Assisted Interview (CAI) or keen to learn.

  • Familiarity with administering interviews using SurveyCTO is an added advantage.

  • Should be fluent in English

  • Should have experience in specific research areas: Agriculture, Governance, Health, Peace, and Recovery

  • Social Protection

  • Should be fluent and able to translate questionnaire in any or combination of the following languages: Dagbani, Chokosi, Fulfulde, Gonja, Mampruli, Likpakpan.

  • Should be willing to travel and work in remote communities.


  • There will be an aptitude test and interviews for external shortlisted candidates

  • Trainees who perform best at the surveyor training will be considered for auditor position.

  • Being resident of the above-mentioned districts is preferable
