Vacancy: Business Development and Marketing Officer

Job Description

A premier garment manufacturer in Ghana is currently looking for a seasoned and dedicated Business Development and Marketing Officer to join our vibrant team.

Job Summary

This role will have responsibilities which range from securing new top line sales and building strategies to support a profitable business plan for the company and client. He/she will also be developing end-use product training and development course of action, new product introductions and implementation, manage buying patterns and provide solutions where there are gaps.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Care and Quality Assurance

• Liaise with customer for customer specifications/requirements in consultation with Production Manager and Quality Control/Assurance Supervisor. 


• Liaise with Sample Supervisor and Quality Control/Assurance Supervisor to ensure samples are made on time and according to customer requirements.  


• Ensure that all customer complaints and enquires received are worked on and reverted to the customer with results. 


• Liaise with the Production Manager and Quality Control/Assurance Officer to ensure that production meets customer requirements, including meeting customer timelines.


• Organize pre-production meetings and be responsible for taking minutes.


• Ensure that customer feedback is taken and worked on in the next production after every product is delivered to the customer.


• Liaise with the Logistics Department, Finance Department and the General Manager to ensure that all materials needed for production are acquired for customer satisfaction.   

Business Development and Marketing

• Secure new top line sales and building strategies to support a profitable business plan for company and client.


• Represent the company at meetings, exhibitions, and promote the company and its products.


• Manage customers and potential customers in consultation with the General Manager.


• Conduct regular market research and analysis to help to make informed decisions. 

Product Management

• Submit monthly reports at management meetings in relation to assigned duties.


• Prepare weekly reports and submit to the General Manager and CEO.


• Liaise with the General Manager, Production Manager and the Finance Department in costing productions.


• Ensure that the Logistics Department prepares packing lists at the completion of very production. 


• Ensure that commercial invoices are prepared by the Accounts Department in consultation with the General manager.


• Liaise with the Accounts Department and the General Manager to design production.


• Ensure the safeguard of all assets assigned to the role. 

Compliance

• Liaise with Compliance to ensure that all ethical production standards are complied with at all time.

Required Skills or Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing/Fashion design or related fields.


• Professional Certificate in Project Management will be an advantage.


• 4-5 years relevant work experience.


• Ability to work with minimum supervision.


• Ability to use Microsoft Office suit. 


• Must be deadline-oriented.


• Ability to pay attention to detail.


• Ability to relate effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.


• Good communication, presentation and reporting skills.


• Good planning, time management and numerical skills.


• Good interpersonal skills


• Person of integrity - truthful, trustworthy and reliable.
