Description	Job Description Summary Role A Finance and Accounting Consulting firm in Accra is in search of a Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant's responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we comply with all tax regulations Responsibilities and Duties Maintain records for clients using various accounting software packages including Sage Line 50, Xero, QuickBooks, and Tally ERP9. Process transactions, prepare and post journals, update ledgers, and perform bank reconciliation and cash book analysis as required to complete monthly reporting processes. Prepare and review both management and statutory accounts for clients from software packages. Preparation and submission of monthly VAT Returns for multiple clients. Enforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary. Required Skills or Experience Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree with additional certification (ACCA, ACA, ICAG, or CIMA) Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel Knowledge of accounting packages preferred (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Tally ERP9) Minimum of 3 years plus experience in accountancy Strong financial analysis skills How To Apply To apply, send your CV and Cover Letter to [email protected] Note Please note, employers receive numerous applications per posting and will only shortlist the most qualified candidates.
