Qatar Charity – Ghana Office invites candidates to apply for the following position: Orphanage Officer



  • Location: Dawhenya, Tema 

  • Department: Programs 

  • Job Type:  Full Time

  • Contract duration:  1 year (Renewable).

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB


QC in Ghana is implementing different social welfare and educational projects which includes orphanage that contains school, cultural center, playground, homes, etc. that will host target beneficiaries until they pass out. 



  • Based on the enlisted projects above, the Orphanage Officer (OO) will be responsible for leading all activities including management of the facilities.

  • S/He will coordinate such projects in accordance with the highest standards of professionalism, ensuring adherence to Qatar Charity procedures and regulations as well as approved International Standards.



Major Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Education: Fully responsible for the children’s education including but not limited to (school enrollment, homework follows up, exams preparation, …. Etc.)

  • Health: Fully responsible for the children’s health care including (emergency setup, referral system activation, health insurance, health check-up, … etc.)

  • Nutrition: Fully responsible for the children’s balance diet, nutrient rich feeding routines.

  • Well-being management: fully responsible for extracurricular activities within and outside the premises of the orphanage to improve the overall well being and the psychological being of the children.

  • Coordinate all resources available for effective program delivery.

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff development in consultation with the programs manager.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports highlighting project achievements, challenges, and plans.

  • Other responsibilities assign by the program manager or the Country Director.




Required Skills or Experience


Skills:




  • Experience dealing with kids.

  • Leadership & Management skills.

  • Arabic Language is mandatory for this vacancy (to maintain the coordination with the QC HQ system) 

  • Flexible & multi-tax capabilities.

  • Proactive & have foresight to identify hidden potentials in children. 

  • Calm yet focusses on details regarding childcare.



Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Education, Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of "7 years" experience in teaching, children home management in a non-profit setting or relevant field.

  • Strong understanding of Orphan Care initiatives and/or Hifz Quran educational structures.
