Job Description


Background


 


The Feed the Future Ghana Trade and Investment Activity (GTI) aims to improve the enabling environment for economic growth by (1) facilitating growth in export-oriented trade; (2) improving and developing product standards; (3) catalyzing investments in private enterprises related to high-value commercial crops; (4) promoting job creation, particularly among women and youth; (5) promoting economic diversification; and (6) increasing foreign exchange revenues from high-value export crops. The Activity facilitates investing in firms that trade goods across borders, spur innovation, and build the capacity of the entire trade sector.


 


GTI closely collaborates with the Government of Ghana, e.g. ministries, institutions and agencies, and private sector, including producers, processors, traders, and service providers to diversify agricultural exports, strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) support systems, streamline trading procedures, and improve conditions for transactions, investment, and finance. GTI facilitates growth in export-oriented trade, improves and develops product standards, catalyzes investments in private enterprises related to high-value commercial crops, promotes job creation - particularly among women and youth, promotes economic diversification, and increases foreign exchange revenues from high-value export crops. The Activity supports USAID’s overall effort to promote trade facilitation, remove technical barriers to trade, and improve the capacity of the private sector to access markets and integrate small farmers into the supply chain.


 


GTI procured Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, to track sales transactions that the team is facilitating. Configuration and data import into the tool is complete. However, the team would like to continue to modify the configuration and add functionality. GTI is seeking a consultant to work on a part-time and as-needed basis to provide this support. 


 


Objective


The objective of this consultancy is to modify the configuration and add functionality to the CRM.


 


Responsibilities and Tasks


The consultant is responsible for the following tasks:



  • Be available on short notice to assist in the operation and configuration of the CRM.

  • Modify fields and forms at the request of the team.

  • Set up dashboards and other personalization features for different members of the team, according to their needs and management specifications.

  • Create flows as requested to automatically set deadlines and create alerts to team members and management.

  • Set up an individual tasking function under the Activities tab and rename it “Tasks” and feed those tasks and their progress into personal and management dashboards. 

  • “Clean” form presentation as needed, deleting, or hiding unused fields and consolidating required data into the correct areas.

  • As requested, integrate CRM with other MS tools used by the team, including Teams, Outlook, Power BI, and others. 

  • Though the main scope of work is modification and configuration, some training of staff on operation may be required.

  • Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, customizations and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.

  • Potential extension of functionality to mobile.

  • Other tasks as requested by technical team members and management team, with all requests to be cleared through management before commencement.



Deliverables



  • Assist in the operation and configuration of the CRM.

  • Fields and forms modified at the request of the team.

  • Dashboards set up.

  • Flows to set deadlines and alerts created.

  • Individual tasking function under the Activities tab set up and renamed it “Tasks” and feed those tasks and their progress into personal and management dashboards. 



 Level of Effort and Period of Performance


The expected Level of Effort (LOE) for this assignment is a maximum of 22 days. This activity is expected to take place between June and August 2024  



Required Skills or Experience


 Qualifications



  • Advanced degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Thorough understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform, preferably with Microsoft certifications.

  • Thorough understanding of the overall Microsoft environment.

  • Ability and experience in creating flows for multiple purposes, preferably with some “low code” skills.

  • Direct experience with Dynamics 365 Sales and other Power Platform-based tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) is strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of the business processes required by the CRM- lead and sales completion.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.



Desired Qualifications




  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications (e.g. MB-200, MB 300, MB 400).

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.



Location and Reporting


This position will be based in Accra, Ghana. The consultant will report technically to the IT Manager and administratively to the Chief of Party.
