Purpose Of The Job

The company is seeking an energetic, self-driven and professional individual to join our Mechanized Agriculture unit as Mechanization Manager with the primary responsibility of selling Agricultural equipment to existing and future customers. The role involves active marketing, cross selling and upselling of all products offered by the Agric Division in general and all machinery and implements as well relevant spare parts to farmers at all levels.

 
Responsibilities




  • Sale of tractors, implements and related parts and items to government, NGOs and commercial farmers

  • Perform all sales on cash basis, unless the execution of projects or direct credit sales are based on pre-approved agreements, supported by acceptable financial supports

  • Engage in pre-sale technical advice to farmers and potential farmers

  • Manage service team and ensure revenue stream of sale of parts

  • Supervise monthly inventory counts and records and reconcile the differences

  • Obtain GM’s approval for all quotations and/or proforma invoices to commercial farmers or government and non-government organisation before submitting.

  • Manage inventory planning and stock forecasting

  • Resolve consumer complaints in timely manner

  • Coordinate the activities of sales staff and technicians within the division and ensure they are fully engaged

  • Collect aged and new debts directly or by involving the Agric collection team in the case of bad debtors

  • Take responsibility for 3 divisions inside the department: sales, parts and service.




Required Skills or Experience




  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering or related fields

  • A minimum of about five (5) years Mechanization experience at a supervisory level

  • Practical working knowledge of crop protection, irrigation and harvesting equipment

  • Expertise with Agricultural Machinery especially tractor and tilling equipment

  • Good understanding of conservation agricultural practices and demonstrated innovative solutions to problems encountered in the field

  • Demonstrated partnership building and networking experience in both public and private sectors

  • Prior work experience in the FMCG industry will be advantageous

  • A valid Ghanaian driver’s license
