Description of Requirement



Total Family Health Organization (TFHO) invites qualified Companies/Individuals to submit quotation of the services/Works specified below.



This is to support the operations of TFHO.



Quotations submitted and questions regarding this Request for Quotation (RFQ) shall be ONLY via email to [email protected] by the date and time specified below.



 



The award of a contract is subjected to the availability of funds. Issuance of this RFQ does not constitute an award or commitment on the part of TFHO to pay for cost incurred in the preparation and submission of a quotation



 



Statement of Work



TFHO has a requirement to this project to renovate an office building with modifications of materials, electrical and safety equipment.



The work shall be done as per scope of work, specification, and general contract conditions. This project requires an experience registered contractor to execute the job.



Scope of Work



 



The Contractor is required to provide renovation services for TFHO office as follows:



A.       Renovation of a two bedroom out house.



B.       Renovation of main facility




  1. The contractor is responsible for procuring, supplying, transporting, and providing all labor, materials, tools, plant and equipment etc., required for completion of work in all respects and as per the scope of work. for the  renovation of the property located  at No. 8 Osekere Road, Greater Accra .


The overall purpose of this scope of work is to renovate the property to the exact specifications of the architectural drawings. Specific works to be carried out  include:



Demolition: Demolish all walls, partitions marked for demolition carefully not to affect the integrity of the property.



Construction of new partitioning walls: Construct new partitioning walls using sandcrete blocks and high quality non-shatter glass walls (as per the architectural design)



Doors: Install new glass doors as per the architectural design. Change all locks and handles of existing wooden doors.



Windows: Replace all existing mosquito netting with new netting fibre material.



Plumbing works: Construct new toilets, sinks and basins as per the architectural design



Lighting: Replace all existing lights as per the architectural design



Smoke detectors: Install smoke detectors in all designated locations



Electrical works: modify existing load center panel (LCP), relocate and install switches, install new power outlet pop-up and data outlet, manage cable and wire efficiently as per architectural drawings.



Painting: Paint both internal and external of the property as per the colour schemes as per the architectural design



Warranty: the contractor shall guarantee that all work performed will be free from all defects in workmanship and materials and all installation will provide the capacities and characteristics specified.



The contractor further guarantees that if, during a period of one year from the date of certificate of completion and acceptance of the work, any such defects will be repaired by the contractor at his own cost.

Criteria for Evaluation: The selection of a successful Contractor will be based on Best Value Approach, Technical, timeliness and price factors included



Preliminary Qualification: Must be registered Contractor (submit Business Registration Certificates, VAT Certificate, Certificate of Incorporation and Tax Clearance Certificate. )



Technical weighting -50%



Methodology/Work Schedule- 35



Please submit a detailed work schedule indicating when the property will be handed over to TFHO



Technical/Management Team-5



Provide CV of technical /Management team



 



Relevant Experience-10



Provide evidence of similar work done (Contract/Purchase Order)



Financial Weighting- 50%



Price Reasonability



Provide total contract sum in Ghana cedis

  • All prospective contractors who fail the preliminary stage of evaluation will be disqualified from progressing in the evaluation process.

  • TFHO may enter negotiations with one or more offeror to discuss improvements in the proposal and cost reduction.

  • Upon successful negotiation with the Contractor, a contract will be signed, and a lump sum payment made upon acceptance of all deliverables and within 30 days of receipt of final invoice.
