Vacancy: Civil Engineer (Contract)

Job Description

• Candidate must have construction experience in the oil and gas industry i.e Gas facility projects, civil & road construction projects, building projects


• Candidate must be able to interpret construction drawings and supervise construction projects


• Candidate must be able to give accurate engineering judgement and be able to make inputs or resolve technical issues on site


• Candidate must be well knowledgeable on the applications of different mix ratio for construction of reinforced concrete structures on site and must able to interpret Bending schedule and road profile drawing


• Candidate should have in-depth knowledge on use of structural steel in construction works and must be able to interpret Structural steel drawings and MTOs


• Candidate must exhibit knowledge of material integrity check models and QA/QC


• Candidate must be able to work under pressure and on schedule


• Must be able to travel on short notice to other stations/sites for new assignments


• Must be able to generate SOW(scope of work) for civil engineering projects


• Candidate must be computer literate; use of Microsoft office tools is a MUST


• Project management experience


• Report progress of work and matters beyond control to supervisor


• Provide technical support on Takoradi-Tema Interconnection projects


• Ensure construction projects are carried out according to company tenets of operations and corporate house rules

Required Skills or Experience

•  Minimum of 1yr or more with relevant construction experience in the oil & gas industries


•  BSc/HND or B-Eng-in Civil Engineering
