Job Description



The Job holder will maintain furniture and other elements of carpentry repair works in guest room, meeting rooms and all hotel public areas.



Job Responsibilities:




  • Follow blueprints and building plans of the Hotel to meet agreed standards.

  • Install structures and fixtures.

  • Construct building frameworks including walls, floors and doorframes.

  • Determine and estimate project materials and requirements.

  • Demolish metal and wooden structures and fixtures.

  • Provide crucial foundation for concrete, interiors and exteriors, rooms, basic infrastructure and scaffolding.

  • Maintain carpentry tools and equipment for the Hotel.

  • Inform and guide the Hotel on industry trends where applicable to maintain the standard of the Hotel.

  • Ensure safety of guests and employees by adhering to health and safety regulations.




Required Skills or Experience



QUALIFICATIONS




  • WASSCE or SSSCE, Diploma or Equivalent in required field or similar.

  • At least 4 years’ experience.


SKILLS




  • Carpentry skills

  • Time Management skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Communication skills

  • Basic mathematics


REQUIREMENTS




  • Flexibility to work on shifts, night hours, weekends and holidays.

  • Extensive knowledge in woodwork.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to carry weight for long periods of time.
