Position: Carer (Male)

Period: Short to medium term basis (3-6months)

Job Summary

• A family seeks a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys interacting with an elderly person and assisting them with their daily activities. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing high quality care and support to the elderly.  The successful candidate must be a self motivated, well organized and able to work independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in a similar role is an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting.


• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linens


• To assist client with client  personal hygiene needs both day and night


• Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities


• Assist in safe lifting, transferring and movement of clients


• Assists client to medical appointments


• Observe, monitor and record clients physical and emotional well-being,  and promptly report any changes to Supervisor


• To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Client using a person centered approach


• To observe and promote the Client’s choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfillment and other rights.


• To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their family and friends and other stakeholders.


• Any other needs as required by the client.
